This work is shown to convey a general style. While these items and new work will soon be offered for sale here, these items are currently needed for samples while I build the new studio. Once I am in the new work space and in full production, I hope you'll return to see the fresh pots!
Note the size of the pots. Many pots are quite small -- about the size of an egg. Works at this scale started when I began working in the studios at Pewabic Pottery and needed to test their glazes (which were mostly intended for flat tile surfaces) on pots. They began to take on a life of their own, with turned feet, handles, tooling and sometimes beading. I also found I could pack a few dozen small bisque pots in a pilot's case when traveling, to guest fire around the country. So many of the small pots you see here have been fired in kilns from Flagstaff, AZ to Penland, NC.
